Deep amidst the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range lies the municipal district of Soller. It covers a total area of around 44 square kilometers, and is well-known for the notable "Puig Mayor," which is the highest peak in the whole of the Balearic islands at 1,445 meters above sea level.
