Established in the 1960’s, the Parc de la Mar in Palma is close to the south side of La Seu Cathedral (the 14th century Cathedral).
This park offers some splendid sights of Palma's coastline. Abstract art is dotted around the park, including a giant, tiled mural by Joan Miro, the Spanish artist. There is a famous arch in the park that serves as a reminder of Palma's Moorish times when it was an entrance to the royal docks. The nearby Sas Volves provides a popular space for concerts and art displays.
