CELEBRATIONS IN JANUARY

16th of January: San Antonio Abad Festivity

The cheerful Mallorca is one of the places in Spain where religious holidays are lived with lots of excitement and devotion. During the festivities the classical tradition is the one of blessing the animals. The festival takes on great splendor in the areas close to Part Foran. Although the winter season begins to put the heat on people makes the whole atmosphere is pleasant for visitors. Enjoy the most ingrained habits of Mallorca: the fires. In the streets of all the people who celebrate the festival, people develop their bonfires in many ways. The Feast of San Antonio Abad is the opportunity to taste delicious dishes such as sobrassada to the embers. They also can sample typical desserts of Mallorca. CELEBRATIONS IN FEBRUARY

1st of February: The Carnival of Mallorca

Come to Palma de Mallorca and be part of one of the biggest celebrations across the island. The Carnival of Mallorca congregates each year many visitors from around the world through its colorful parades and a lot of Spanish tradition. Some know the season of the festival as "the final days," since only those days you can eat the tasty Spanish meat, which in March will be replaced by fish because of religious holidays. Enjoy this great celebration that lasts almost the entire month of February. The Dijous Jard is the best way to start the celebrations. 1st of March: The Day of the Balearic Islands

2nd of April: San Francisco Festivity

Several parishes across the island of Mallorca carry out all sorts of celebrations to pay tribute to the patron San Francisco. Take part in mass processions in an environment full of devotion and fear of God. It is a custom to use incense with the songs and praises to take a good flavour to the heaven.

23rd of July: Saint George Festivity

Mallorca never disappoints its visitors when it comes to combining the religious holidays with fun. Enjoy this holiday full of romance and charm to the Mallorcan style. The feast of St. George (also known as St. George) is like a celebration of Valentine's Day in Spain. Come with your partner and take part in traditional activities such as the distribution of roses. Young people from anywhere give women red roses as a symbol of love and affection.
