| CELEBRATIONS IN MAY
10th of May: Festivity in honor of Our Lady of Victory
Each year the festival is celebrated with great fervor and devotion in some areas such as Mallorca and Port Soller. There are mass processions accompanied by marching bands from the town and also by groups of local comparsas. The reason for the party is to pay homage to the patron saint of the localities, Our Lady of Victory. It is said that more than four centuries ago, around 1561, the town was invaded by pirates and privateers who arrived from Turkey. Fortunately, the damage was minimized thanks to the protection of Our Lady of Victory. Come and enjoy a great cultural evening, where you can appreciate depictions of the battles between the army and the Christians. Palma de Mallorca is also a recommended destination as it celebrates the holiday in their own way, with concerts for young people.

27th of May: The Festival of Spring
The joy of spring arrives in Majorca in May and there are programmed a lot of activities to celebrate the glory of youth and vitality of the season. The festivities in honor of the Holy Sacrament start with Masses in Mallorca parishes. This is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the fine cuisine of the island, with delicious fish and shellfish, whose taste will never forget.

13th of June: Tribute to San Antonio de Juni
The festivity is in honour to San Antonio de Juni. This festival has its headquarters in the town of Arta. Come to this happy place in June and enjoy the colorful spectacles in which citizens participate actively and invite visitors to become part of their traditional dances. One of the most striking things is fun "dance of the horses", which was actually made by people in disguise and that pay homage to the equestrian culture.

24th of June: Sun Dance Festivity
The area of St. Joan celebrates this great feast as thanks to good harvests. This is a major agricultural event with traditional dances and food fairs. In the town of Muro also celebrate the festival of Sant Joan with some of bullfighting.

28th of June: Sant Pere Festivity
Mallorca, for its location, has been a place of Spain eminently linked to the sea.. Its fishing tradition has led prayers to bless the fishing at various saints. In the town of Port d'Alcudia is a tribute to St. Peter, patron saint of fishermen. Processions are carried out in the water which will no doubt enjoy. Visit the port of Alcudia in the family for a short moment of reflection and to stroll through the fairs of the season. .

30th of June: Pilgrimage of Sant Marcal
The village of Sa Cabaneta is pleased to welcome many visitors just when the month of June is finishing. The warm region of Marratxi celebrates its patron saint with a large number of agricultural fairs where you can find a number of craft and natural products. The flagship products of the festival are the Siurells, which are sold like hotcakes. You can pilgrimage with many of the visitors in an atmosphere of pure thoughts and prayers. Moreover, in areas such as Dorchester, Campos, Manacor and Sineu; conducted celebrations of the same caliber.

CELEBRATION IN JULY
16th of July: Virgen del Carmen Festivity
The tributes to the Virgen del Carmen are carried out simultaneously in many places of Mallorca. In the port of Ashdod, for example, the day begins with a small mass and then draws the image of the Virgin in procession. They are beautiful ornaments to be put to the image and you can feel a very special aura of Christianity through the beautiful melodies of bands that accompany the march. The masses of the place are filled with a delicious aroma of incense to lead prayers to heaven with purity. Pollensa and Puerto de Soller are other ideal places for a night of pure reflection.

27th of July: Parade of the Bulls and the triumphant Carro
This curious festival combines religious celebrations with Spanish tradition. The festival takes place in the town of Valldemossa, where it is customary to drop a big bull into the streets, and to which only the bravest can get closer. The holidays are given as part a tribute to Santa Catalina, and therefore, there are also religious rites on the first day of celebration. The next day the celebration does not end. This is the time of the grand parade of Valldemossa where the residents participate actively, dressed as characters from traditional Spain. The best-known characters are "sacred", which make changes in a costume that eventually turn the parade into a great show colorful and cheerful. A girl, who represents Santa Catalina, who is leading the parade followed with chants of visitors and their holiday harangues. Do not miss this great feast of local Mallorca!

CELEBRATIONS IN AUGUST
3rd of August: Copa del Rey de Vela
The first week of August, the island became the scene of a great sports festival. Once you have finished the races in the Balearic Islands, Bay of Palma begins in the Copa del Rey (Agua Brava, for others). Hundreds of ships sailing come together on the island of Mallorca to participate in this great event and test their experience and skills as navigators. There are some rental boats, with which you may also be a participant in the competition.
Come to Mallorca in August! The Copa del Rey is the most important sailing event in the entire Mediterranean Sea and involved members of the Spanish royal family. 15th of August: Our Lady of the Assumption Festivity
One of the Marianist most important festivals in Spain is celebrated with great fervor in the municipalities of Mallorca and in its capital. Also known as the Virgin of August, the Virgin of the Assumption has many devotees who know well as a tribute in his month, with processions, prayers and songs in which many tourists are actively involved. Since days before the party, in many churches in Palma de Mallorca will be debuting a catafalque on which the virgin is lying. That is because the celebration of the Assumption of the Mother of God is related to his death, and before this there are days where you will remember the mourning for her.
Come to the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca and enjoy its beautiful architecture in honor of the virgin, at the top of the portico is an image of the Virgin in full ownership. The competition of speed horses is one of the most anticipated events. However, you can also enjoy the classic dance of the devils in the town of Montuiri. 28th of August: San Agustín Festivity
The town of Dorchester is the setting for this festival full of color and charm of classic Mallorcan. The festivities in honor of the Patron Saint Augustine are also developed with equestrian shows and marching bands that roam the city. Children are the one who have more fun with the feats and dances of the horses of Dorchester. Discover the fervor and devotion of Mallorca in August.
