January
Revelta i Beneides de Sant Antoni Abat. This is a fiesta, or more like a two-day party in Mallorca that includes bonfires, parades, dancing, and people dress up in fancy bright costumes.
February
Carnival Parades. Held February and March and possibly the last jovial events celebrated before the Lent Season. Palma hosts the most extravagant fiesta, known as the Cavalcade (Sa Rua). Carnival time happens throughout mainland Spain and the islands and the parades are certainly worth seeing.

| Semana Santa (Holy Week). Held on Maundy Thursday in Palma, Mallorca, a procession leaves the church of La Sang, carrying a crucifix. On Good Friday, many other processions are held in the towns, including Palma and Sinue in Mallorca.

Fiesta Sant Francesc. April 2nd, a popular feast of St. Francis is celebrated in all of the Balearic Islands.
Festa Sant Jordi. Held on April 23rd, this feast day of the patron saint of many towns and villages is celebrated on all the Balearic Islands.
Princess Sofia Trophy. A yachting regatta that is one of the most important in the Balearic islands.
