Palma de Mallorca is designated as the largest island amongst the 16 Balearic Islands of Spain. It nestled off the coast of Spain, since the ancient times Mallorca has been the home of varied culture. Nowadays, millions of tourists are visiting the island because of its fascinating mild and sunny climate and of course because of its impressive landscape. Mallorca as well is appointed as the capital of the Balearic Islands with a sophisticated look. The capital of the Balearic is not just all about its impressive landscape, but you will also find here various shopping centers, restaurants and other interesting activities for the tourists.
Palma de Mallorca has been named for the Roman city of Palmeria, however the island has both the European and the Moorish flavors. Mallorca has been dominated by the stunning gothic cathedral La Seu. Most of the major sights to see in the island nestled within the old city walls, dramatically to the east and north of the cathedral. Tourists can start touring the city from the old city and would end to the Placa d’Espanya.

Visiting the monastery and knowing its interesting history and mystery is incredible. The monastery remains restored and it has been the favorite spot for cruise vacationers docking in Mallorca. The village where the monastery could be found is truly beautiful and charming; from the monastery you could still see the pharmacy which is well kept where you can also see some of the potions and drugs inside.

If you want to know better Mallorca, it is recommended that you rent a car. Car hire in Mallorca is considered the cheapest compared to the other areas of Spain. There is nothing for you to worry when booking for a car hire, because the island has many car hire available, unless you visit here during the peak season, of which it is really recommended that you should book for a car hire in advance. Renting a car in Mallorca would be easy for you to get access on the beautiful spots of the island.
If you are in a budget, riding with a bus is a good idea. Buses in Mallorca could link you to all the towns of the island. You can also ride trains; there are two railways in the island that connects to Inca and Soller. You can visit Mallorca anytime you want; the island is blessed with its Mediterranean climate.
Most of the tourists visit the island in between the month of April and September. If you want to see beautiful almond blossom, visiting the island during the months of January to February would be great. It is pleasant to visit the island also during spring and autumn season; walking, cycling, golf and mountain climbing could be a great activity in the island during this season. The hottest month and driest months of the year would be July and August.

The island of Mallorca has many spectacular views to see and one of them is the incredible Son Marroig.
